UPC launches a 1 Gbps connection over its entire coverage area

UPC now offers a connection speed of 1 Gbps over its entire coverage area, both in the city and in the countryside. As part of this launch, the traditional portfolio has been adapted and a new modem introduced. In addition, UPC is the first telecommunications company in Switzerland to offer a 100-day termination fee for its TV and Internet subscriptions, an innovative model that is very advantageous to the customer.

Overnight, UPC launched its highest new connection speed for its TV and Internet subscriptions: 1 Gbps throughout Switzerland. In practical terms, this means that the new Giga offerings are now available to all customers throughout the coverage area, representing more than 75% of Swiss households. "We are delighted to be able to offer our customers an exceptional connection speed of 1 Gbps, both in the city and in the countryside, thanks to our high-performance cable network infrastructure. AS a result, UPC is strengthening its leading position in Switzerland in terms of connection speed. A new wallet and a giga Connect Box with a smart design

Customers who choose an Internet connection of 1 Gbps receive a new high-performance modem: the Giga Connect Box. This modem is distinguished by its sleek and intelligent design and increased wi-fi range thanks to its 11 built-in antennas.

The portfolio for Happy Home and Connect has been adapted correspondingly: the new products launched on the market are Happy Home Giga (with the new UPC TV) for CHF 119.- per month and Connect Giga for CHF 89.- per month. They both offer a connection speed of 1 Gbps. In addition, new customers will also be able to take advantage of a promotion on Giga products valid from September 25 to November 24. Indeed, Happy Home Giga will be available for only CHF 59.- per month for 24 months.

100 days to change your mind: a first in the telecommunications sector

UPC is also launching a 100-day termination fee for all Happy Home and Connect subscriptions. All new customers can change their TV or Internet subscription for 100 days or terminate their contract by the end of the month. This is the first time such a model has been implemented in the swiss telecommunications sector. "Our goal is to convince as many customers as possible with our high-performance products.
