It seems that, for now, this is not contested in Lausanne, unlike several examples in Europe: in France, as in Belgium, UberPOP is prohibited, even if Uber continues to offer its services.

For now, it seems that demand is quite low. It's maybe because… the UberPOP drivers are still quite rare. Of course, this service is a real and valid competition to taxi services. Inevitably, it will regulate and legislate on this new type of service. It is for now not the case in Lausanne.
