Beer and its craft breweries in Switzerland
Historically, I'm a fan of beers. Not really on the side of quantity, but rather looking for original tastes and quality. Cradled in my youth by Heineken, the Cardinal, the Adelscott or by Belgian beers very trends there are… 20 years, I turn more and more to beers Swiss, because – the choice is vast. Of fact mother, for my birthdays, often gives me local craft beers. Because – as the "micro-breweries" artisalales, in Switzerland, it swarms. Not necessarily so "micro" or "craft" so that, in fact, some times. Without wanting to be exhaustive on this one here, a list of readings that speak of romandes and/or Swiss craft breweries on the canvas:
- 37 craft breweries in French-speaking Switzerland and on the Net: A list of links that seems quite complete to me, published by the magazine "Tous Comptes Faits". This list is not dated, it's annoying. And it should be noted that the "beer of the Boxer" is listed as artisanal, which seems a bit limited, anyway.
- The flight of small beer brewers,an article in the Hebdo of August 2013.
- Craft breweries are booming,an article from 24 Hours from October 2013
- LaBiere.ch, the news of micro-breweries in French-speaking Switzerland: A brand new beautiful site. A reference to find out where to buy and where to drink.
- A book, in real paper: The Guide to Craft Breweries in French-speaking Switzerland. Unfortunately, even once, I have not found the date of publication on the website of the Publisher. It's very sad. If anything this guide has years and is not up-to-date. Or not. In goglant, it seems that this guide date of 2011. And no, this guide doesn't exist on Amazon.
To buy, I use regularly to the store at the barley Grain, in Crissier. But also at the Lausanne market, at the stand of the Docteur Gabs brewery. There's also SmartBeer,a subscription service that delivers Swiss craft beers to their homes every month. And if not, if you have time, talent, pace in the garage and money, you can set up your brewery: All the equipment seems to be on sale on the French-speaking site BiereArtisanale.ch. Even though it seems that many of their items are marked "out of print". On the literature side, bookstores are full of titles about beer, whether to make it at home or to drink it. Then, as thirsty season arrives, and more football fans will have to drink in front of their TV to watch FIFA Brazil 2014 football World Cup, it's a good opportunity to vary the pleasures and beers local, no tour?
